About one of the Authors:
Erik Hoffer has over 40 years of hands on experience in cargo theft. He has created over 20 original technologies to remedy commercial theft and continues to develop mechanical systems as barriers to in-transit losses. Many of his products can be seen at www.rigsecure.com. Mr. Hoffer holds a degree in industrial psychology from Northeastern University and an associates degree in transportation and traffic management. Mr. Hoffer has recently hosted a TSA conference on Air Cargo Security and has written many articles on cargo theft for major national and international publications. As the former chairman of Education at the International Cargo Security Counsel, Mr. Hoffer has hosted and written over 40 major events in the area of in-transit and supply chain theft losses and crafted the USMMA advanced course on cargo security.
