Rig Secure and Erik Hoffer are pleased to announce the release of his newest book chapter, “The Mechanics of Supply Chain Theft”, published by Dr Andrew Thomas from the University of Akron.

It traces the theft through all phases of the transaction and identifies each level of the criminal enterprise that handles, transports, sells and steals the cargo. It traces the spoils of theft through the fence network and discusses the nexus between cargo theft and terrorism. The chapter further discusses other related criminal activities such as money laundering and attempts to define vulnerabilities in the transportation system which sets the stage for supply chain theft.
